I purchased a motorcycle on 4/5. Two weeks later i was pulled over and received the following citations:
1. Fail to maintain financial responsibility (title has not been transferred yet)
2. Regisration expired March 2013

I've recently decided to sell the bike to pay for some unexpected hospital bills for my girlfriend. I have a buyer lined up as well... So, here's my question....

If I were keeping the motorcycle the solution is obvious - transfer title, register bike, get ticket dismissed. But, given that I am selling it next week, is there a way I can avoid trasferring the title in my name right before I sell the motorcycle?

My daughter has a child who rarely sees her father because he works out of town. The truth, is that the father really isn't interested. My daughter has first right of refusal, and his wife is allowed to pick the child up and take her to her dad, but can only take her if the dad will be there. She has come to get her 5 times while the dad was out of town, and now they've filed 5 contempt charges against my daughter. Their attorney knows she's not in contempt because he has the papers that show my daughter has first right of refusal. The fathers dad is an attorney and I feel that they are just harassing my daughter. He gets free legal representation, while I'm having to take out a loan to help my daughter pay for an attorney to represent her. Also, this attorney has been bad mouthing my daughter to other people she knows that work in the court. Is this unethical? Is there anything that can be done? BTW,my grand daughter is terrified of her stepmother. Thank you in advance!

I live in Texas and my son lives with me. His mother has visitation rights. We were given a standard order of visitation by a judge. This year his mother sent me the letter stating when she was taking her visitation for summer. Then she called me telling me that I had to pick my son up at her house when her visitation ends for the summer.. I have never done that but she says that I am supposed to. Why would this be the case , if she's the one who picked him up...I thought the visiting parent has to pick the child up and return the child back to his house...
