I was riding my motorcycle at night and flipped over some railroad tracks. Running off adrenaline I immediately got up and was walking around, a woman who witnessed the accident gave me a ride to my friend's house nearby. Once i got to my friends house i self medicated with ice packs and whiskey for about an hour before my friend made the call to take me to the ER. Turns out I broke my collarbone and had a whole bunch of other contusions and bruises.

The law caught up with me later that day. The cop wrote me two citations; careless driving with $18,000 property damaged and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage $18,000. The cop stated that the $18k came from the figured value of the motorcycle which had a lien on the title.

What do I face if I plea no contest to the charges?

There is no proof that I was carelessly driving cause the cop didn't see the accident.
I don't even understand where they came up with the $18,000 figure, the bike wasn't even worth that amount brand new.
The bike was in my name, my own property with a lien on the title and full coverage insurance.
I got no priors, clean record, clean driving record.

Hello everyone thank you in advance for reading because this is really bothering me...

I am currently on active duty and I am deployed to a combat zone (Afghanistan if it matters). I rented an apartment back home two years ago by myself, I was not married at the time. I am the only signer on the lease. I have never been late, and I am quiet and have no complaints from any of the neighbors. Three months before I was deployed, I married my wife. She is an occupant on the lease, but not a signer. She does not have power of attorney, my mother has general POA.

After living there a year my signed lease ran out and I signed another one before I left making me month to month (a rent increase was required.). This new lease was signed three months before I deployed.

A month after I got here my wife told me the apartments had been sold to new people and they wanted a new lease signed and they wanted to raise the rent. After informing them that me signing a new lease is not possible they asked me to "just pay the extra" and the lease can be signed once I return home. I told my wife to write them the normal checks and I would deal with them when I get home.

Fast forward four months, my wife emails me that a letter was put on the door. The lease is up (April 30 2013, I don't even think this is correct) and if we do not sign a new one year lease at an increase of $75, rent will go up an amazing $175. I understand that fair rent value does increase but I find it very strange that fair rent value went up before I left and one month after the sale of the complex fair rent amazingly went up again.

More importantly, how can these people penalize me for being in a position where I am unable to sign a new lease. I am not asking for any kind of handouts, but I certainly do not take kindly to being treated unfairly due to my service. This is also putting additional stress on me because I have no idea what I am going to do about these people.
