My grand daughter who lives in South Florida has a joint Bank account with her husband. She left him about 2 months ago, she has a debit card to their joint account with BOA. She has had to use the money (she doesn't work) for the baby who needs diapers, food, etc...A few days ago it became very clear to her husband that she has no intention of going back to him. He grabbed her phone and got physical with her and took off. She immediatly withdrew $1,000.00 from their account to replace her phone and for back up, she then got a call from him the next day after discovering what she did and threatened her with the law, he said that he was in contact with the police and that she was going to be arrested for stealing from him, he told her the cops told him that because they were separated that it was considered theft and that they could freeze her new account. I say hogwash!! He is attempting to scare her and he has done just that but what do the laws say regarding joint bank accounts after a separation? I think this would be a civil matter and even then, what can really be done legally against her?

I always understood the separation of church and state to mean that a state or national religion cannot be mandated.
However, someone recently asked me if it is illegal to send religious material, such as a tract, to a judge. I realized I don't know the answer, so I started my research here.

Thank you for your response.
