I’m anticipating a pink slip from my California employer soon. We’ve argued over some legalities that may eventually put us in court - on opposite sides. I’ve been forewarned that I will be “required” to sign a propriety agreement before my departure. The agreement forbids me from keeping copies of any of my work, including expense forms, timesheets, notes, emails, and reports that I wrote and signed. But I would need some of these materials for my defense if we do end up in a legal dispute with one another, or one of our clients.

What kind of trouble may I find myself in if I refuse to sign the agreement?

Ok the short version my SO was arrested last night for what I don't know yet still trying to find out what happened. We don't live together she is an alcoholic.(probably drunk and lord knows what went down) We are still married and she had a relative crashing at the house. It is a rental in her name. Do I have the right to get the relative out of the house while she is incarcerated? Am I responsible for what happens at the house why she is not there?

My ex-wife physically attacked and choked my 12 year-old daughter in Colorado after chanting for the evil spirits to leave her and the police did not interview the only unbiased witness, her 14 year-old brother who pulled his mom off his sister. They are with me for a visit in CA but are supposed to go back per the parenting plan but they are under the care of a doctor for the trauma and undergoing therapy. Can the Colorado Courts system forcer them to go back while under the care of a doctor or psychiatrist in California?

I just recently got this girlfriend. I'm embarrassed to say she's my first girlfriend and I'm still a virgin, but that piece of info may help to answer my questions. A couple of friends of mine recently hooked me up with this girl, and we quickly became attached. The first night we met, foreplay, cuddling, and making out took place. I never asked nor received a blow job or hand job or any job, but I did finger her and feel her up. She was ok with everything I did, and enjoyed herself. I did some research and found that what I did was illegal, but I'm not sure what kind of sentencing I would get from it, seeing as the age difference (about 1 and 1/2 years) isn't much, I have no criminal record whatsoever, and it was my first time making sexual contact. Not to mention it was her first time too. Her parents freaked out about it, but agreed not to file charges. However, and I know everyone is going to say "just let her go, find someone who's over 18", but we're still dating. We're being subtle about it and letting things blow over before we do anything majorly sexual again. She turns 18 in April, and we wont have sex until then. But I wanted to know if we could still kiss or make-out between now and then? I go to boot camp in a month (long enough so her parents wont have anything on me if they wanted to file charges again if they found out), and wont see her again until just before I leave, but I wanted to give her a good-bye kiss/make-out. Is so little as making-out illegal in California? Or is that ok? Thanks.

Damaged (vandalism) Gas meter in apartment complex. How come i got the bill?

I received a letter from the Southern California Gas company saying they are charging me for a damaged meter. The customer rep said depending on the situation, the resident may be charged if the inspector thinks I have tampered with it. it's about $144.00 on my monthly gas bill

How could i be liable, especially since i am living in an rented apartment, and i have no control of the location of the meter?

other notes:
1. My gas bill is a whopping 12-15 dollar a month. Why on earth would i do such a thing?
2. When I went to go check out the meter, i saw the area littered with cigarettes and beer cans and one half broken beer bottle. And my meter plastic case was smashed. Looking up, the meters are situation in front of a stairwell 3 stories up. looks like a littering accident.

Am I liable? How can they just charge me like that with out any proof or anything. What recourse do I have?

Thank you in advance for your help!
