I am a 21 year old male in tucson az, when me and my girlfriend met i was 20, she was 15, she found out she was pregnant the day before her 16th birthday. her mother is a real peice of garbage, addicted to drugs, theiving, ect ect. cps was involved with them before my girl got pregnant. her father is living in phx so hes not really involved. anyway a few months into her pregnancy her mother got evicted from her place so my girl came to live with me. cps had knowledge that she was pregnant at about 7 months, last month on april 18th she gave birth to my beautiful son that i love and care for very much. CPS went to the house we were staying at when we were ready to leave the hospital, they said everything was good, and i thought that was the end of dealing with them. we have moved since the 18th so today i get a call saying CPS wants our new address, im thinking to myself, sure no problem, they just want to come see how the baby is and if everything is OK. so i give them the address. 1 hour later they are informing me that they are taking my girlfriend and my son away because of our age difference(she is 16 i am 21), the cps lady also told me that there is an open police investigation on me regarding this matter. i talked to my father about it and he told me that my only option to get her and the baby back would be to marry her. and im willing to do so since i love her and shes the mother of my child. does anybody have any advice on things i should do or NOT do to make this process smoother? i certainly DO NOT want to be charged as a sexual offender. I was recently cited for not wearing a seat belt as a front seat passenger in a vehicle. The fine is listed as $87, yet when reading ARS 28-909G it says any violation of the seat belt law results in a maximum penalty of $10 for each violation. This was a first time offense, do I have to pay the $87 and why is it not the $10 listed per the statute?
