Default Just got a DUI and need to Move to Go to law school

I got a DUI about a month ago (BAC: .258). I am going to court in about a week. My concern is that I need to be able to move to NY to start Law in about three weeks. I have already put in my notice at my job and my residence. I already have an apartment in new york and have made deposits where necessary. This is my first offence, but I know that my BAC carries a minimum of 10 days in jail. I am hoping that I will be able to complete this requirement in New York with an Ankle Bracelet. Is this a practical expectation in my plea bargain, or do I need to hire an attorney to be present with me at court?

You should ALWAYS hire an attorney in these matters; while your "first", it could very well have been your "last"...Hope you will be able to take serious personal action concerning the drinking. All the best!
