I have a pick up truck and would like to put up flyers saying " man with truck" with my phone number and do odd jobs around my neighboorhood in exchange for cash or equal value things. Is this legal??
thx for any help, I live in Alberta Canada
Its legal but check to make sure your plates are insured correctly. You want commercial plates not private use plates. If you got in an accident with private plates and it was obvious you were using the truck for a commercial purpose you may be denied the claim for you and whoever else was involved in the accident if it were your fault. Furthermore if the other party was injured you would be responsible for their medical bills, rehabilitation etc. Commercial plates aren't much more money and well worth it.
