    Default Wrongful Dismissal ?

Hello, really looking for some advice as to whether or not my situation seems legitimate. If anyone could give me some input I would appreciate it. I acknowledge this may be a forum to discuss Canada Law but im really just looking for some good input and im sure you guys can help me out.

    Alberta/Male/21 - Financial Advisor .
Went up to a bar , money was sitting on counter , took some not even thinking twice thinking it could have been the last guys. Went outside bar doors later for cigarette , over heard people talking about stolen money , went in spoke to Bar owner ( he was looking for me same time I was looking for him. Surveillance showed) RCMP had only been called because waitress was convinced over $1200 had been stolen. Really only $280 between two people. Bar owner + waitress admitted money should have not been sitting there. Bar owner + waitress not pressing any charges, feel bad about situation but RCMP are still pressing charges.

Notified my banks branch manager of charges over weekend, did not get to discuss situation to him as he took a phone call during time I was to be speaking with him. Asked me to write an email (which In response I wrote up a quick email not explaining my situation very thoroughly ) to him telling story and asked to leave until decision has been made. Next day phone call from him saying im terminated based on "Trust". Fair? I don't think so. I'm yet to receive my package

    Hi.

In my opinion, the bank has just cause for terminating your employment. Your actions were unethical in a situation that could just have easily occurred during the course of your employment at the bank. You displayed poor judgment and unethical decision making.

I think the bank has grounds to dismiss you, however; this is not my particular area of law.

I wonder if anyone has more insight on this issue as I find the scenario quite interesting.

Your action was unethical to say the least , that however is not a cause for dismissal , BUT being charged by the police gave the bank the green light to dismiss you . It is part of your employment requirment in the bank not to have a record .
    check your employment agreement .

    regards
