Hi I'm Greg in Toronto. In my trial July 29 I hesitantly accepted a plea deal whereby I pleaded to an assault charge (based on little more than a shoulder brush) so that two other charges, also based on puffed up incidents (assault with a deadly weapon= a cat!?! & attempt to kill/maim an animal) were dropped. THe plaintiffs were 2 colluding teen girls & I am the 52 yo super of the house. Got a suspended sentence, one year probation & anger management course. The judge said by agreeing to this plea, I forgo any right of trial. My probation officer has hinted (I stress= only hinted) there are other options I could have or could pursue. I have complained about my lawyer to the LSUC, but I don't know what else I could/can do. I'd like the anger management course dropped (for starters). Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance -Greg rrent@live.com
