May one be forced to enter into a contract,if he is not happy with it and be punished for not doing so?
I am a fully licenced Family Practitioner(Doctor) in Alberta ,Canada and I am currently practicing(renting) premices from The Regional Authorities(the Government). The Authority is putting pressure on me to enter into a very disadvantageous type of agreement with 2 Foreign Doctors, who do not even have Licence yet(they are with limited temporary licence to practice) and if we do not come to agreement, may the region(the Government) punish me for this by not renewing my lease?
It is nearly impossible to answer your question with specificity without looking at your original documents. Those documents (Lease Agreement, etc.) will spell out what you have consented to and what rights you may have. It is likely that you have signed documents which allow the government to do exactly what you are seeing. Good luck, Doc.
