What age can young people opt out a visit with a perent if there is something alse they would like to do on a weekend? I have a 12 year old who would like to dothings with here friends. And occasionaly we would get invited to a get together. It ends up that she misses out because it would be on her dad's weekend. When she ask him if she could go to the get togethers, he would always say no. And right now she is getting frustrated when that happens

A child cannot opt out until 18 years. The Court should be asked to change any orders to reflect the growing child's wishes.
