i have owned a mobile trailer with an add-a-room in a seasonal tent & trailer park for nine years now. I wanted to sell it about four years ago but the owner refused to let me sell. He had promised I could sell it anytime I wanted when he sold it to me. He changes the rules like the wind. He raises rental of land at least 6% per year and adds charges and changes whenever he feels like it and nobody seems to be able to stop him. I am very sick and not rich and I bought this place from him with my inheritance from my parents. It is worth about 10,000 dollars and I hate to lose all the money I have put into it. I have tried to get legal advice but it is too expensive and the advice I paid $100 for was wrong according to the residential tenancy agency. I could move the trailer out of the park but the add-a-room would be very difficult to move and expensive. It is about 12 by 27 feet long and is fairly permanent structure and was when I bought it from this owner. He is a crook as far as I am concerned and nobody likes him but alot of the tenants in the park are in the same boat as me and feel powerless to stop him. Does anyone know if I can do anything about this mess and what sort of legal avenue I would have to take to fight him - eg. small claims court - I don't know where to turn - I get so many opinions - please help anyone
