My parents purchased a property with my sister & her husband which they all lived in together in for a couple of years. My parents then deceided the location was not for them & wanted out of the house.
The problem is they were never put on title & made no aggreement as to how to handle things should they or my sister want out. They contributed $200,000 (all of their savings) towards the purchase of the property.
My sister & her husband are now refusing to sell the property & don't have the money to give them even part of their $200,000 back.
Do my parents have any legal rights available to them to get any of their money back. Given they wanted out they are even willing to take $100,000 rather than the $200,000 originally invested.
Thank you for any advice/assistance.
