In Canada, is it legal to submit a health care insurance claim to two different insurance companies. I am covered by both companies for this treatment. Also, can a person have more than one life insurance policy?
You can submit the claim to two different companies but depending on how the contract are written, each one will pay a percentage of the claim up to the amount of the damages. You cant collect in excess of the bill.
You can insure yourself with as many companies as you like and for as much as they are willing to insure you for. When your loved ones claim they will get the full amount from each company with which you were insured with. Unfortunately you'll be dead.![]()
