I am specifically interested in the missing persons laws in Ontario, Canada.

If a person wanted to pick up and leave, move to a new location and break ties with family and friends and they were subsequently reported as a missing person... would the police go looking for them... and if they were found would they have to reveal their location to their family and friends ?

Do the police look for a missing person indefinitely ?
