I just got fired from a hotel in southern ontario because a lady allegedly slipped because the floor was wet and they pointed their fingers at me. They told me she filed a lawsuit against the hotel but for some reason they waited 4 days to tell me about someone getting injured over me not putting up a wet floor sign. I felt that it was fishy from the start, why would you wait days to speak to your employee about something serious as this. I was wondering if i could legally get information concerning the incident or is it confidential? I would greatly appreciate any feedback, Thanks.
