If I purchase a condo in the U.S. while separated from my husband (not divorced yet), my husband also owns this property unless he signs off on it.

Is it the same for Canada? If my husband, who is separated from me, purchases a condo in Canada and I am still in the U.S., do I have rights to the condo if we are still only separated?
