If a sixteen year old is kicked out of the family home in BC for "not being Christian enough" (yes and it was even written in a note by the parents), and that teen goes to live with a boy/girlfriend's home, or anyone else's home for that matter, do that teenager's parents have any rights to know where the teen is or what the teen is up to? And who would be responsible for financial aspects of an added person in a household?
Your questions pose very complex issues that cannot be answered here. If a 16 year old lives with someone else it is likely that his natural parents would be responsible for his upkeep. It is likely he would have to keep his parents advised as to his location. A court should be involved in this scenario. Good luck.
