Traffic violation statute of limitations?

6 years ago I had a moving violation ticket in Canada. I am wanting to visit Canada but am wondering if there may be a warrant issued for me when I enter the country. Do these ever drop off your record? Would the border officials have this information and possibly take me into custody? IS there a way that I can check my Canadian driving record for any tickets/warrants etc?

Generally in Canada statutes of limitation do not operate against a governmental agency and extinguish a criminal charge in 6 years. There are a number of good internet sites where, for a small fee, you can check you own record. Good luck.
