neutering cats
can a cat owner nuter his own cat, or does it have to be done by veterinarian
I can not find any statue in arkansas code stating anything about this, if this can be done by a non veterinarian can a person set up shop and charge for this service
Only in Arkansas....Unless you have means to administer anaesthesia
to an animal (they feel pain too) and the skills of a vet, this could be just plain animal cruelity. I was raised on a farm and nutering was pretty unhuman back then. There was a lot of using rubber bands on male dogs and cats, killing some from gang green (lack of blood to tissue).
There is a big difference between livestock and pets (although many have tried to blend the lines) so regulations/laws/common sense acceptable treatments differ.
On a side note, no where on my list of things I want to do before I die is it listed "Neuter a cat without using anesthesia"
