My husbands company put him on salary for 4 months and then took it away without cause. He had no warnings, no write ups, they simple said that they had no money. Secondly they forced him to pay for an accident that only ruined a headlight. They are charging him one thousand dollars. They take 100 dollars a pay period; he gets paid twice a month. The owner has insurance for these trucks and the deductible in 1000 dollars which she gets back at the end of the year plus it is a tax write off. She does this to all her employees that get into accidents. They also have their drivers work 18 hours a day without using log books, which I know is illegal because of the DOT laws. They still have not paid him his vacation pay which is 6 months over due. Is any of this legal and what is his recourse?
