:confused:I’ve been divorced from my ex-wife for 18 years now. She remarried within a year and has been married 17 years now She has been a pain in my side ever since. Both she and her husband don’t pay their bills so their creditors call me looking for them. This is very annoying and I should have changed my phone number but I didn’t. About four years ago I bough a new house and over the last five or six months I started receiving mail for her at my address. I call the companies that sent the mail ask them why they were using this address and they told me she gave my address and phone number as her contact information. Is this illegal?

I have a feeling that it isn't and, if any of these companies have contracts with your ex-wife, she could facing legal action.

Have you contacted the companies that mail is being sent from to tell them the situation?

Does she still remember your social security number? With all of the info she has, i would suggest putting a credit alert on your credit reports. Protect yourself.

You should have ended this before itself. I don't know why you are still being too soft towards your ex-wife. You should be warning her not to use your personal things, if she doesn't listens up you have the legal rights to sue her.

I don't think that there is much you can do against this. I don't think that there is much for ground for a criminal or civil suit.

no it is not legal to give an address if you do not reside there.

Why don't you believe there are grounds for legal action in this situation?

She may be giving the impression that the ex husband is responsible for debts that he has not created for himself.
