At the last parenting exchange, after I had given our toddler to my exhusband (in a Michigan State Police parking lot, no less), he quickly moved his car to block my vehicle from moving. My stepfather was in the driver's seat and told me to call 911. When we ultimately talked with the officer, he did tell my exhusband that he could not prevent us from leaving by blocking our vehicle, but we were not allowed to press charges. Don't we have a legitimate complaint?

You have a complaint for harassment and the officer at his discression can give a verbal warning or issue a citation, he probably viewed the situation as less of a domestic issue and more of a immature seperated couple squabble. However there are far worse crimes happening out there that require more immediate attention....On a second note, I cant believe you and your ex cant keep your maturity levels in check for your child or children.....He shouldnt have done what he did, and at the same time your being childish by seeking legal action cause he blocked your car....You BOTH need to get over yourselves and do whats best for the child/children
