Is it legal in the state of NC to run someone off of the road and cause an accident? I know that this sounds stupid, but I have to know. This happened over the week end to friends of mine. The driver of the wrecked car had been drinking, so I understand him being charged, but their were witnesses to this accident and no charges have been filed against the driver of the other car. It resulted in injuries to passengers in the car. The other car intended to cause this wreck, they had been into an argument at a place of business earlier, my friends left to avoid conflict, but were followed on to a highway and ran down. The car that caused the wreck actually called 911 to report an accident. What recourse do the victims have here?
