From your post, I'm guessing that you followed up your stupid move with another one by dodging the fine and/ or jail time right? I'll guarantee there's a warrant out for you but given the distance I don't see PA wanting to spend the money to have you picked up and brought back. Don't worry, they'll wait on your return at least til the statute of limitations runs out.

I agree that PA may not want to spend the money to extradite you from Alaska, however the warrant will be in the NCIC system nationwide and everytime you get a ticket you'll have to deal with it. Also, the Statute of LImitations likely won't apply in a case where you were already arrested; SOL apply for the time between commission of the offence and the filing of the charge, which in the case of a DUI occurs when you get the ticket or other summons for court. Whatever speedy trial provisions PA has likely won't apply if you failed to appear for court, and especially if you fled to another state to conceal yourself.

Even if you do relocate to Alaska, eventually you will want to collect Social Security. SS Administration is being hard-nosed about paying any benefits to people with outstanding warrants.

Oh sure, get all lawyer on me...... I had a similar situation in Washington State. I got a ticket for riding a motorcycle without a license in '86. I moved to Georgia in '88 and never heard anymore about it. When I applied to the police department in '97 it wasn't even a blip on the radar. Just my dos centavos
